Give them a read through and let me know if you have any questions. I'll hit a few of the common FAQ points here:
f.5 Electronics
Up until now, Mini-Z's had 3004 model FETs. The new Z's hitting the market have the hotter 3010 model FETs. So as to not exclude people with the new cars, older 3004 owners are permitted to upgrade their FETs to 3010's. But there is a weight penalty.
Note: The MA-010 AWD Mini-Z's have always had the 3010's to make them even with the MR class cars, so they are not subject to the weight penalty.
f.7 Motor
The AZGT is limited to stock-level power of 70 turn or greater armatures, which pretty much means stock motors only. You can use a stock motor as-is, or you can build your own using ball bearing cans (like the Atomic BB cans) and such. The only restriction is on the armature turns and ferrite magnates, no Neo-mags.
f.15 Weight
3004 FET cars must weight at least 180g. It'd be tough to weight less, but this number comes from the PN National rules. The 3010 FET cars are 30% more powerful and as such have a minimum weight of 234g. Any weight may be used and placed anywhere under the body. I suggest something non-conductive.
d.1 Sprints
One Sprint Event Day is made up of three complete Sprint races. Each Sprint race is broken into three segments, the A, B, and Main-Sprints. Each A, B, and Main score points, so there are nine(!) scoring opportunities in one day.
The Battery Rule (occurs in several places)
Once a car enters the track to qualify, the batteries may not be changed until after the race start. The batteries may be changed at any point in any race by pitting.
In the Sprint races, the batteries may also be changed during the 5min 'garage period' between the B-Sprint and Main-Sprint.
In the season finale 1hr Le Mans, the batteries may be changed before the race.
